In the mist of all the happenings in my life, I failed to post about my June’s monster. So I guess the title “the one who got away” fits perfectly for this blog post.
Everything was ready. My awesome kid did his coloring. I updated my Networth. Then I remember I needed to pick up a few things for my trip (which I may add that I only got around to pack for the other night). It’s the Sloth Monster all over again…
I don’t have a name for June’s monster. The month itself went by so quickly. Now that the little man is home for the summer, the days are going by quickly. Still trying to wrap my head around the fact that he is going to 1st grade in September!
Update/Confession:
Money wise, I was really careless in June. I bought things with my credit card that I normally wouldn’t. Instead of making lunches for work, I ended up buying junk food.
Debt wise, I did manage to get rid of a lot of it thanks to the new JOB. Although, the hours are really crappy. Just will have to get use to it if I want to get rid of this monster by next year!
Alright, enough ranting for one post! Let’s see how I did.
Once I get rid of the debts, I will be able to put more money aside for savings. Who knows, maybe in a year or two I will be able to afford to take my little family on a nice trip to some tropical island.
Let’s meet the monster for June. The little guy and I had a little bit of an argument about the colors he should use for the June’s monster. He wanted to color it black and brown. We settled for a-little-bit of gray! ; – )
In the next few days I will be M.I.A I’m heading to a Scentsy convention (my very first one). When I come back, I will be sure to fill you all in on how it went. So be sure you are already subscribe to my blog for all future posts.
You will want to be there when I kick my monster’s butt!

When I was working to pay down debt, I would purchase things I did not need. I then sent them in their bags, in the corner with the receipt. Most of them were returned. It seemed to help my impulse buying come to an end. Seeing the pile of things I did not need and adding up how much was actually spent – things clicked. Good Luck – the trip would be fun for your family once you earn it!

I’m also trying to pay down as much of our debt as possible. It’s hard to do so when unexpected expenses come up, especially with the house.
