It’s that time of year again: time to send the kids back to school! I, for one, am very excited about my two oldest children returning to school! The only thing I’m not looking forward to is all the germs I know they will be bringing home. However, I have some great solutions. I’ve partnered with Boogie Wipes to share some simple tips that you can use to keep those germs at bay.
Simple Tips to Keep Germs at Bay!
Serve a Well-Balanced Diet
The first step towards keeping your kids healthy during back-to-school is to feed them a well-balanced diet. This means incorporating fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein into their meals and snacks. A good diet will help boost their immune system and give them the energy they need to focus during the day.
You can use a bento box for lunches that include compartments for kids to have a well-balanced diet during school days. This is an excellent way to ensure your kids are getting important nutrition to keep their energy and mind fresh all day long at school. My daughter is not big on veggies, but she loves her fruits. One way I make snacking fun is by serving her snacks on a cutting board, charcuterie style.
Make Sure They Get Enough Sleep
It’s important for kids to get a good night’s sleep so that they’re rested and ready to learn during the day. Most children need between nine and twelve hours of sleep each night. To help them get to bed on time, establish a bedtime routine and stick to it as much as possible. This might include taking a bath, reading a book, or winding down with some quiet time before lights out.
The best way to ensure a good night’s sleep with kids of all ages is to create a back-to-school routine that starts approximately two weeks before the first day of school. This gives your kids plenty of time to transition from summer break mode into back-to-school mode.
Keep their hands clean.
One of the simplest and most effective ways to prevent the spread of germs is by regularly washing hands. Teach your kids to wash their hands thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially before eating.
What about when you are on the go and might not have access to water right away?
One thing we are doing this year is making sure my daughter has a pack of Boogie Wipes in her backpack. They are perfect for wiping her hands and face when on the go. Boogie Wipes are made with natural saline, so they help keep those little hands clean of germs.
My daughter is prone to having eczema on her hands, so I love that Boogie Wipes contain aloe, chamomile, and vitamin E, so they are gentle on her sensitive skin.
They are also perfect for combating boogers during cold & flu season.
As you can see, a few simple methods to keep your kids healthy this back-to-school season include keeping their hands sanitized, and ensuring their minds are ready to learn each day.
Get your hands on some Boogie Wipes just in time for back-to-school! You can find them at your local Walmart store or at Walmart.ca.
