Remembrance Day is very special here in Canada. I didn’t learn about Remembrance Day till I came back to Montreal in 2005. Having been raised in Florida from the age of 13-20, I’m more familiar with the story behind Veterans day. Today, I would like to show you the Remembrance Day Scentsy Warmer.
A Remembrance Day Scentsy Warmer (Service and Sacrifice)
I remember one November I was taking the metro and noticed lots of people wearing some red flower on their jackets, purses, backpacks. One day I was going to the grocery store, and there was an older man there with a basket filled with the same red flowers I had seen around the metro stations and buses. So I was curious, so I went up to him, and he handed me one of the flowers in exchange for a small donation. Later on, I went home and looked up “Remembrance Day” and the red flower (poppy).

One of the things I like about Scentsy is their charitable cause products.
“Each spring and fall, the Scentsy Family Foundation, with the help of Independent Scentsy Family Consultants’ nominations, selects a charitable cause or organization to support by creating a distinctive new product in its honor. Each limited-edition product is available through Scentsy Fragrance Consultants for six months only.
The “Service & Sacrifice” warmer makes a great gift idea for the veterans in your lives. At the same time, you are supporting veterans in need when you make a purchase. For every Service & Sacrifice” warmer sold, Scentsy makes donations to either “Wounded Warriors Canada” (Canada) or to “The Mission Continues” (USA)

It is a great looking warmer. Thanks for stopping by Robert! =)
I’m greatful for my grandmother because she spent her current 73 years bringing up her kids, her kids and and now is helping to support her kids again. All this while working full time to pay off a mortgage, put food on the table for not only herself and my grandfather, but also her sons family. My grandfather had heart problems and had to retire early in life.
Meant to say “her kids and her kids, kids”
That’s great of you Annette, people love being appreciated. Your grandmother sounds like a hero to me!
Not being from Canada I did not know about Remembrance Day. It seems there are several holidays that are similar. I know in the US we used to wear red poppies when I was little. Just checked and here’s some more information for you. The remembrance poppy (a red poppy has been used since 1920 to commemorate soldiers who have died in war. Inspired by the World War I poem “In Flanders Fields”, they were first used by the American Legion to commemorate American soldiers who died in that war (1914–1918). Today, they are mainly used in the UK and Canada to commemorate their servicemen and -women who have been killed in all conflicts since 1914. I like knowing things like this.
Thanks for the extra bit of history there Meli!
