The title says it all. I was recently introduced to the woman behind “Love Share Events”. A group of professionals who work to promote and support each another. They have one common goal and that is “to pay it forward”. I just love the concept! So I did a little interview with Natalka so that we can learn a little bit more on what “Love Share Events” is all about! Due to our busy schedule I thought it would be easier to send her the questions via email. Be sure to read all the way to the end learn more about “Love Share Events” special giveaway!
1. Tell us a bit about yourself and what is it that you do.
My name is Natalka Lee, I own and operate Natalka Celebrations Event Management and Design and am the founder of Love Share Events. I am a certified wedding planner, certified with The Wedding Planners Institute of Canada, and also with The Gay Wedding Institute. I have been in business for myself since March of 2007
2. What is the story behind “Love Share Events”?
Love Share Events came about during a conversation I had with a DJ and a photographer. We talked about how great it would be to form a group of Event Industry professionals, who would be willing to collaborate and support one another. As of March 2013 this became a reality.
3. I’m curious, how did you get all these amazing group of people together?
I have been talking about this concept to colleagues in the industry since November 2012 and have invited several to join the group. This concept is new and innovative. A collaborative business group is not common. And those who have come on board have become the foundation of great things to come.
4. What are some of the services your company is providing?
Our group is made up of several services, such as Wedding planners, Event designers, Event Decorators, Photographers, Entertainment, DJ, A Gameshow guy, Travel designer, Jewelry consultant, Couples coach, Practitioners in Alternate Healing Services, Florist, Jazz artist, Mobile bartending, Formal Attire, Imported delicacies and much more.
5. “Love Share Events” is currently holding a contest. Could you tell us a bit more about it?
A wedding will be donated by the members of Love Share Events, to a couple who are already engaged, and have begun making wedding plans. A couple whose plans were interrupted by a life-altering event such as illness, or tragedy. There are so many couples in Quebec who have suffered tragic events during the planning of what should be one of the most joyful times in their lives. We have decided not to accept entries for or by couples who have simply lost their job or do not have enough funds as we believe, although unfortunate it is a common event in life. Another important criteria of eligibility for the couple is they must
“pay it forward” they must run a fundraising effort for a registered cause during the period we are planning their wedding. We will support them in their fundraising endeavors to help them with their cause.
So there you have it folks. Now, do you know of a couple who are engaged to be married and who have had to put their plans on hold because of illness or a tragic event? We invite you to nominate them, all details are available at www.loveshareevents.com/contest
