Hi loves, how’s your Christmas shopping going so far? Last year I had the honour of working with the Canadian Wildlife Federation. I received so many lovely comments on that post. This year I’ve partnered with them again to talk about their Adopt-an-Animal program and their cool WILD and Faunetastique magazines. Keep reading to learn more about these two meaningful gift ideas.
Adopt-an-Animal | A Meaningful Gift that Keeps On Giving

The last five months I’ve been blessed with a partnership that provided my children with so many cool toys. I didn’t have a lot of toys when I was a child, so it felt incredible seeing their faces when they would receive a new one. However, I know that the holidays aren’t just about getting a lot of toys which is why I always try to find some meaningful gift ideas for them.
The Canadian Wildlife Federation’s Adopt-an-Animal Kit is the perfect gift idea. Especially for children that love nature and animals.
Before I get into what comes with the Adopt-an-Animal Kit, I wanted to talk a little bit about the Canadian Wildlife Federation.
The Canadian Wildlife Federation’s mission is to conserve and inspire the conservation of Canada’s wildlife and habitats for the use and enjoyment of all. CWF engages over 630,000 people and reach almost 3 million each year who join us in working from coast to coast to maintain something very important — a bright future for Canada’s wildlife.
About the Adopt-an-Animal Program

Last Christmas Jazzy received a cute polar bear and Tristan received a Red Fox (currently sold out but more on the way). This time around Jazzy wanted the Snowy Owl and Tristan got the soft Moose. Both are super adorable.
WILD and Fauntastique Children’s Magazines
I was super excited to learn that the Canadian Wildlife Federation now has magazines just for kids! My son is fascinated with anything to do with animals. The magazines are available in both French and English which is terrific because Tristan speaks both fluently.
WILD and its French version Faunetastique are jammed packed with engaging wildlife stories, games, activities, and pictures. Perfect for encouraging a deeper love and understanding of Canada’s wildlife
Tristan has been reading them, and he was surprised to learn that the reason the Leatherback sea turtles will try to eat plastic bags is that they think they are jellyfish (their primary food source).

What a great idea. I have personally rescued several dogs and two horses. I would so rescue more if I could but the expense and our location prohibit it. But for those that I did – I cherish every moment.

This is so cute, I bet my daughter would love this one. She received a German shepherd Webkinz and when she named it Renty my husband and I were puzzled by the name choice. We kidded her about it because she always names her pets amusing things like her fish was Derp and her frog was Uppie and Carton, we even fostered a kitten that she named Ariel Part 2. One day we were listening to the Webkinz Podcast and she had sent in an email to them recently about her pet Renty. They aired her question on the podcast and even mentioned how they loved her pets name Renty, that it was cute and fun. So she always brings that up when I giggle at her names for pets.

I have heard about doing this before and I think it’s an awesome foundation to take a part of. I think my son would really enjoy something like this. I’ll definitely be looking into how it works some more. Thanks for sharing!

What a great idea! I would love to do this in memory of my mother. This is the first Christmas without her and wildlife and it’s preservation was her passion.
