‘Tis the season for lifestyle changes! While you may be thinking about the New Year and all those positive changes you can make, I wanted to share a few ways moms can adjust their lifestyle this season for the better. With so many moms being busier than ever, it’s no wonder many of us are experiencing burnout and have to deal with physical and mental health issues. If you’re a busy mom and want to know what lifestyle changes you can make this season to start feeling more positive and healthier, then continue reading for my top five changes I think you should make this season.
5 Lifestyle Changes to Make This Season
Get Enough Sleep
I know that you’ve been told this over and over again, but seriously, please try to listen to me here. One of the best lifestyle changes you can make this season is to set yourself with a bedtime. Go to sleep at the same time every night and wake up at the same time. You can easily transition your body into getting adequate sleep by using an alarm to signal bedtime and wake up time.
Sneak in Exercise
Find easy ways to sneak in a daily exercise routine. This exercise doesn’t have to be extensive nor high-impact. Something as little as quick thirty-minute walks every day helps. You can even sneak in some squats while waiting in line at the local grocery store. Give yourself a daily goal of what exercise you’ll get done and make sure you hold yourself accountable to make this lifestyle change to feel better.
Balanced Meals
If you’re so busy that you tend to eat on the go frequently, then it’s time to stop that bad habit. Learn to make balanced meals or at least put some healthy snack options in your glove box so that you’re never far from a healthy option to eat on the go. Try to eat more balanced meals during your family mealtime for optimal health too.
Take care of your mental and physical health with natural products.
Your mental and physical health is so important when you are a mom. I get extreme pain during ovulation (Mittelschmerz ) that totally knocks me out, but because I’m a mom and still have to be present, I often have to push through the pain until my partner gets home and can take over. Years of taking over the counter medicine can take wreak havoc in your stomach. I’ve always wanted to try alternative medicine for the pain and found that CBD products help me a lot without the high. Using all-natural CBD products helps me with both the pain and the anxiety that comes along when I’m going through the monthly pain.
Practice Self Care
We often talk about self-care, but seldom do we actually practice it. I’m guilty of that as well. I know the importance of taking care of myself as a mom, but it’s always the last thing on my mind. One way to do better this season is to write it down like it’s an important appointment that you can’t miss (and let’s be real, it is important!). So now I’ve started writing down things like “weekly face mask” and “pamper myself” – This can be in a hot bath (I only do that once in a while because I’m not a big fan of soaking in a tub lol, but you do you). I also do my best to take some alone time 1-2 times a week. For the days when I feel particularly overwhelmed with all.the.thigs, I use my feelCBD revive pen, and it helps me unwind.
Are you new to CBD?
CBD (cannabidiol) is an all-natural cannabis compound that provides all of the medicinal benefits of cannabis without the feeling of being “high”, which makes it a great tool for re-stabilizing your consciousness after a night of fun.
Just a few of the things that CBD can help with:
- Anxiety
- Pain
- Depression
- Stress
- Inflammation + more
PIN IT!
Let’s face it, with the shorter days and busy lifestyle; us moms can get worn down much easier during this time of year. The holidays that come during this season don’t help either. I say it’s time to use my ideas of some lifestyle changes to make this season so that you can feel mentally and physically well for long term happiness and health.
