DIY Leprechaun Poop Soap Recipe
Hi loves! Do you celebrate Saint- Patrick’s Day? Even if you don’t these adorable Leprechaun poop soap are so easy to make!
Supplies:
- One 1/2-pounds melt and pour clear soap base (You can find it here on Amazon)
- 10-20 drops of chamomile essential oil (You can find it here on Amazon)
- 10-20 drops of lemongrass essential oil (You can find it here on Amazon)
- Dark green, light green and gold mica powder (I used colors from this set Amazon)
- Dark green cosmetic glitter (You can find it here on Amazon)
- Light green cosmetic glitter (You can find it here on Amazon)
- Gold cosmetic glitter (You can find it here on Amazon)
- Poop soap mold (You can find the one I used here on Amazon)
- Spray bottle of rubbing alcohol
- 3 microwave safe measuring cups (Amazon)
Instructions:
Dark Green (First) Layer – Step 1: Add chamomile essential oil to one microwave-safe measuring cup which has 8 cubes (each cube is approx. 1 ounce) of the clear melt and pour soap base.
Steps 2-3: Add lemongrass essential oil to the measuring cup and melt in 30-second intervals, stirring after each until it is completely melted.
Step 4: Add dark green mica powder to measuring cup.
Steps 5-6: Add dark green cosmetic glitter and thoroughly mix color and glitter into soap mixture.
Steps 7-9: Spray bottom of the mold with rubbing alcohol. Carefully pour dark green soap mixture into a mold and spray soap mixture with alcohol to remove bubbles. Allow hardening at least 30 minutes. You know you can pour the next layer if you blow on the soap and it doesn’t ripple.
Light Green (Second) Layer – Steps 1-3: Repeat steps 1-3 in the dark green layer.
Steps 4-6: Add light green mica powder to measuring cup. Add light green cosmetic glitter and thoroughly mix color and glitter into soap mixture.
Steps 7-9: Spray dark green layer with rubbing alcohol. This helps the layers adhere to one another. Carefully pour light green soap mixture into a mold. Spray light green layer with alcohol to remove bubbles. Allow hardening at least 30 minutes. Make sure there are no ripples when you blow on it.
Gold (Third) Layer Steps 1-3: Repeat steps 1-3 in dark green/light green layers.
Steps 4-6: Add gold mica powder to measuring cup. Add gold cosmetic glitter and thoroughly mix color and glitter into soap mixture.
Steps 7-9: Spray light green layer with rubbing alcohol. This helps the layers adhere to one another. Carefully pour gold soap mixture into a mold. Spray gold layer with alcohol to remove bubbles. Allow hardening at least 30 minutes. Make sure there are no ripples when you blow on it.
Repeat the above steps in order of layers; dark green light green and gold.
Allow setting overnight. Carefully “pop” the soaps from the mold. Store in an airtight container until ready to use.
**If you do not have the poop mold I used, that is fine! You can use any mold you like and get the same layered effect. If so, you may need to adjust the amount of soap you use. The important thing is that you have fun!
