Try Smaller Boxes

Whether you are moving interstate, across the country, or out of the country altogether you need to make sure that your fragile items are secure.

Try to use smaller boxes whenever you can for fragile items. This means that the box that the item is in should be as snug as possible. You can then pad any areas around the object where space is left over.

Make sure that the box that you are using is very sturdy so that things will not fall out of them easily. Ensure that the box won’t give away under the weight of the fragile object.

Secure the Box

One of the things you need to do is secure the bottom of the box. You can use several strips of tape to support the bottom of the box so that it can support the contents.

If you have bubble wrap foam this is also a great choice. Once you have packed all the items from lightest to heaviest you can then fill in the empty spaces with any of the packing materials of your choice.

Finally, you need to ensure that you properly label your items as fragile. This will ensure that when your moving company is lifting the boxes they are extra careful.
