Tips to Get a Head Start on Your New Year’s Fitness Goals | AdvoCare
What is it about this time of the year that has everyone scrambling to make New Year’s resolutions? Do you ever make a resolution only to quit before you’ve even started? Or stop after a few days or weeks? Yep! I’ve been there.
A few years ago, I decided that I would no longer set any New Year’s resolutions. Instead, I would write down a set of goals along with what I needed to do to achieve them. I’ve been doing this for the last two years and find that it is the only thing that actually works for me! Set meaningful and realistic fitness goals
The fitness goals that I set for myself are things that I’ve felt strongly about for a while. The only difference is that this time around, I didn’t just say that I want those things, but I have set plans on how I will reach these goals.
If this is your first time setting a fitness goal, you should start by setting goals that are realistic. For me, I have a few goals that I want to share with you. In 2019, I want to lose 10lbs by March (my birthday month), increase strength in my arms and add 20 minutes of daily yoga into my lifestyle.
By focusing on realistic goals you know you can achieve, you’re less likely to feel discouraged about your progress. Also, always remember that everyone’s body is different – goals that may seem realistic to someone else may not be suited for your lifestyle and body type.
Meal prep tasty meals
Meal prep saves you time, money and keeps you on track when it comes to eating healthy. Pinterest is a great place to find tasty meal ideas for you to try each week. Try putting aside a couple hours each Sunday to prepare your lunches for the week. I promise you won’t regret it! I found a few favourites that are easy and quick to make! Check them out below:

Don’t wait until the last minute to start planning
