With the colder season here, we’ve been spending a lot of times indoor. You can just imagine how that’s going for someone like Jazzy that could pretty much live outside if she had the choice. While I have no qualms with screen time in our house, I like to opp for apps that are both fun and educational for her. Today I’m talking about an app that we’ve both been enjoying these last few weeks.
Engaging Your Children’s Brains With Fun And Educational Games | Lipa Land
This post is sponsored by Lipa Land. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Jazz LOVES learning new things. Whether it’s the time she figured out how to send me a video on messenger or the time she counted to 10 all by herself, I always celebrate these milestones like the proud mama that I am. Electronics are used daily in our home and I’m always in awe of how well Jazzy knows how to use them. A few weeks ago we downloaded the Lipa Land app on the tablet, and she’s been having a lot of fun with the games and activities.
The Lipa Land is jammed packed with games, stories, and fun activities. The games aren’t just for kids either. Parents can enjoy them with the little ones as well.
About Lipa Land
Lipa Land is a fun learning app for kids 3–6 that turns screen time into real-life adventures.
Below are some of the skills kids can learn through the games, stories, and activities featured on the Lipa Land. Check out the app for details on each of the 8 skills.
- Social-Emotional Balance
- Physical Wellness
- Academic Competence
- History & Culture
- Healthy Lifestyle
- Environmental Awareness
- Autonomic Capabilities
- Hygiene & Safety
Stories
I love the stories that are featured on the Lipa Land. There are 3 levels of difficulties, so there’s something for everyone. Each story has different skills that the kids can learn. The stories are also interactive with a list of questions you can ask your little ones to get them to engage. Some of the stories are even available in audiobooks. Which comes in handy after a long and busy day. I just hand her the phone, and she picks the story that she wants and plays it while we snuggle up together.
Games
Just like the stories, the games on the app have 3 levels of difficulties, and they each have different skills that kids can learn while playing. Jazzy and I tried the Cyclops. It’s a hard level in the game, and I was pleasantly surprised when Jazzy figured it out after only a few tries.
Activities
The Activities section is one of my favorite because the whole family can take part. Plus, they are great for social skills building. All the activities come with step by step instructions that are easy and fun. One of the popular activity on the Lipa Land app is “Time in a Box.” For this activity, you put a few items in a box (small toy, a picture, etc), and you hide it somewhere and have the child find it. Sort of like a capsule. Jazzy loves and we pretend that we’re uncovering a treasure chest. Some of the skills your child will learn while completing this activity is Ethic ad Values, Fine Motor Skills, and History.
Safety first!
Having kids in the Digital Age can be a bit daunting sometimes, but it doesn’t have to be. A fun and an educational app such a Lipa Land allows kids to use their imaginations and learn at the same time all while staying safe. Lipa Land is also completely ad-free and safe for kids. This is something that’s really important to me as a parent. Knowing that the app is KidSAFE certified gives me the peace of mind I need. I can also set in an app timer if I want to limit her screen time.
With the Lipa Land app, you can track your child’s progress and see which games they’ve played or which stories they’ve read or listened to.
