If you want your home to be pristine, you might think that you will have to spend a whole lot more time scrubbing and dusting sand doing chores to get it looking great, but that really is not the case!
When it comes to cleaning your home it is possible to clean smarter, not harder. Here’s how:
Write a rota
Making a rota of every cleaning job that needs to be done and how frequently you need to do it will ensure that you do not waste time covering old ground and only clean what needs to be cleaned when it needs to be cleaned, thus saving you heaps of tie and ensuring your home is always spotless.
Leave the floor ‘til last
So many people make so much work for themselves by cleaning their hardwood floors or carpets first when they should be cleaning them last. If you clean them first, then when you go on to dust your shelves and clean your ceilings, the dust and debris will fall down making them dirty again and making twice as much work for you!
Use a multi-purpose cleaner
There is no point wasting time and money buying lots of different cleaning products when you can find one that will do everything from cleaning the floors to keeping the kitchen surfaces hygienic. When you have lots of products you waste lots of time looking for them, changing them over and so on, that you really don’t need to. Find one cleaner that does it and all and stick with that if you want to save time.
Let it sink in
Speaking of cleaning products, most of them will work much more effectively if you apply them and let them sit for 10-5 minutes. So many people apply the product and then start scrubbing away immediately, which simply means they are doing more work than they need to, and the end result is likely to be less effective. Read the labels and see how long the product needs to take effect, make a cup of coffee and have a little relax while the liquid does its thing.
Take your shoes off
If you and your family take your shoes off before coming in the house, then you will track in a lot less dirt and debris that needs to be cleaned up in the first place. Prevention is better than cure might be a saying about health, but it applies just as well to keeping the house tidy too,
Automate it
From robot vacuum cleaners and mops to self-cleaning ovens, if you don’t have to do a chore because you can automate it, then you probably should because it will free up so much time for your to spend with family and friends or work on that important project.
As you can see, it is totally possible to clean smarter, not harder and have your house looking so much better in a lot less time than you imagined possible, Time to start cleaning smart!
