I wanted to start this post with lots of whining and venting about how horrible my day/week was. But then I got to thinking; it could be worst! Instead, I’m going to share the fun stuff that did happen this week. I honestly believe that there’s always a silver lining.
There’s Always a Silver Lining!
We did our taxes! We are way ahead this year thanks to a few free tax tools. I’m excited that we got this out of the way!
My sister came over for a visit this week. It had been awhile since I saw. She also bought some Korean food. So after almost two years, I was finally able to enjoy some delicious tteokbokki (spicy rice cake). We cheated and used a premade sauce, but it was so good!
I got selected to work with a brand that I’ve wanted to work with for a LONG time!! If you are a blogger reading this, then you know how amazing it is to work with brands you love. Keep an eye out for my post.
I usually check the community mailbox twice a week but last week was so cold, I didn’t even go outside once. Finally got the mail today and some awesome goodies were waiting for me!! My dear friend sent me a package with a Happy Planner (she knows me so well lol) and stickers. The highlight was the adorable handmade owl card! I love owls!!
Just so we are clear, I did a bit of “boohoo” crying to some close friends and family and now I feel so much better. I’m already planning ways to get the funds needed to for a new laptop and change the broken screen of my new iPhone. So you see, there’s always a silver lining.
To my blogger friends reading this, I’m in the market for a new laptop. What would you recommend for a good blogging laptop? I also need something that I can edit movies.
What are you grateful for this week? I’m excited to see what the week has in store for me. See you guys back here again for another Grateful Sunday post!

I love using my MacBook Air. It’s super light but powerful. I’m a blogger which means lots of content and pictures are on my computer.

Yup there is always a silver lining and it would do us good to look for it. Sometimes we have to make our own silver lining…LOL

My husband is the king of the bright side, sometimes it drives me nuts because I just want to wallow in my own misery, but I know he’s right. The planner is adorable!

I’m grateful for the couple of days off I have for spring break (yay for working in higher education!) I’m spending today at home with my two kids. (I kept my son out of preschool.) I did have to buy a new laptop at the end of last year and I bought a Dell. I love it!

It’s good to have the taxes behind you! As for the laptop, something with a lot of RAM will help if you’re planning on doing a lot of editing.

Way to go girl! Landing paid work as a blogger is not always easy 🙂 So yes, there is ALWAYS a silver lining. As to your laptop question – I use a macbook pro. I’m pretty happy with it. I use it with Photoshop and Premiere Pro no issue. I do keep my files in 2 separate hard drives tho to keep this machine light. Happy shopping!

I Definitely love my Macbook air. It’s a bit on the pricier side, but I feel like it does a pretty great job!
