Finally getting back to our regular schedule. I’m still a bit sad that Christmas isn’t until another 12 months!

My daughter is still trying to get used to the fact that her big brother isn’t here when she wakes up. On day three she stopped going into his bedroom to check. Now we are back on our regular schedule. I like it because she naps when she’s supposed to, and she’s way less hyper! We’ve had freezing weather (-23) pretty much all week, but we dressed up warm and went on short walks. I still don’t understand how this child doesn’t feel cold!
Good Bye For Now
After three weeks of Demo giving me major side eyes. I reluctantly took the Christmas tree down. My daughter wasn’t too happy it go.
Crotte de Papa!
Two weeks ago, Demo’s dad came by for a little visit. He brought with him a desert that he calls “Crotte de Papa.” The whole thing sounded gross. In case you are not familiar with the word “crotte,” it’s French for “poop.” Demo said it was delicious and I just ignore him. But yesterday, he insisted on making the recipe. Don’t worry; it’s not real poop! LOL, It’s chocolate with walnuts. But by the picture, it really does look like poop!
His recipe needs a bit of fine-tuning. It wasn’t as “chewy” as the Crotte his father made last week. Once he gets it right, he will share the recipe. I tasted, it’s delicious! HEHE

I love that lipstick on you and I’ll have to check out 100% Pure. BTW that Crotte de Papa does look like poop. I won’t be able to eat it anyway since it contains nuts but my kids would love it and I’m sure with practice, Demo’s recipe will be just as good as his dad’s.

The poop bit is pretty funny! I’m usual;y a bit bummed to take the tree down as well, I love the smell and having the kids home relaxing.

Your daughter is so cute! I can’t believe she still loves walking outside in this freezing weather! I had to look real close at that thing. I wish there was a way to make it less “poop” looking. Maybe a little dusting of powdered sugar? 🙂

I am with you when it comes to feeling that Christmas ends so sooner than you think. With back to regular schedule I am all about staying restless with my kids and my work from home tasks every day will keep me busy too.

We have the same sweet in my country but we call it a much better way: “biscuits salami”. Besides walnuts we also add biscuits and turkish delight. It looks pretty much the same but it is so yummy!

This chewy treat looks so good. I know the feeling of when you don’t have your siblings with you. We’ve been away from my family for more than three years and it hasn’t been easy. Every now and then I feel myself get a little sad.

Going back to the daily grind is kinda tough when you’re used to the Holidays! I’m missing it big time. That dessert freaked me out a little bit, I saw the picture before reading the description. Glad to know it tastes good though.
Taking the tree down is so upsetting! Like I don’t want christmas to go away hahahh
I’ve had a great deal going on health-wise so I am trying to live a low key life … much easier said than done. Today, we are cooking for the blog and working on continue to pack our home as we sold it and have to move out by the end of February. The week itself, like normal, is going to be super busy with my daughter’s extra curricular activities and so much more. Here is wishing you a happy and healthy week!
Your baby is adorable!!! It is so hard getting back into a regular schedule, I think I might be going through vacation withdrawal myself. Cause I just cannot seem to be able to get back into a “normal” schedule. I mean, it is so much easier said than done, but I will get back into it asap. 🙂
