Yay Spring is finally here!!
That’s what the calendar says. If I were going from what I see from my bedroom window, I would say “Winter is Coming!” But for the sake of this post, we will say that spring is finally here! Every year I set a goal on what I want to get done for spring cleaning. I write it all done (so that I don’t get sidetracked) then I get everyone in the house involved. Last year I had Tristan go over some of his old toys and the ones he didn’t play with drop them off to the donation bin near our home.
If you have been following me on Facebook, Instagram, and (or) Twitter, then you already know that I have a “thing” for owls! I’m always looking for owls!! I thought I had my owl “thing” under control, but sadly I’ve relapsed (will post my last owl “haul” soon).
I was hoping that the snow would have started to melt so that I could add a yard sale to my spring cleaning “to do list.” Sadly, that is not the case. So I have to find another way to get rid of some items that have a bit of value (mostly sentimental value but the hoarder in me won’t hear any of that). Which is where Listia.com comes in. A while back, a Facebook friend sent me a request to join Listia.com. I signed up with my Facebook account but never really went back to it. Then I received an email with a title “Out with the old, in with the new.” The title caught my attention. I logged back into my Facebook account and started browsing and checking things out. It all seems pretty easy.
One of the features I like about Listia.com is the “Badges.” Not sure what happens if you get all the badges but so far I have 7 badges!

- Filling out surveys
- List an auction and bid on things you want.
3. Your credits can be used to get some cooler stuff
4. Don’t want to get more stuff? Well you can donate your credits to charities (How cool is that??!)
5. It can be a bit addictive!

I haven’t heard of Listia – it sounds like a good idea. I wouldn’t want to get new stuff (I have enough stuff I need to get rid of as it is) so it sounds good to be able to donate credits to charity. Alana from the UBC.

Seems like a great idea. When your home is filled with clutter it actually affects your mind as well!

I will more than likely need Listia after we find our new apartment and make the move. It is always easier to get rid of stuff when you are unpacking.
I have heard of Listia, but never used them. I give a lot of my stuff away to my sisters in law, but have sold some of my bigger items on Craigslist.
This looks like it would be helpful to motivate people! I just gave two huge bags of clothing away last week and have so much more purging to do! Love Spring cleaning!

I am due for a garage sale soon. I have a ton of stuff! My neighbors love my garage sales. I am a lean mean getting rid of stuff I no longer like machine. Lol. I will have to look into Listia

I heard of this in passing just recently and it sounds like a good way to do a little decluttering.
I signed up for Listia a long while back but I have never actually used it. I’m going to check it out again.

Sounds like a great service. We have a charity truck that comes once a month, and I always have a box in progress for them.
