I’ve been blogging for a little over three years. And you know what? I’m learning new things every day about blogging. Along the way, I’m also getting to know things about myself. Some good, some bad, some a little bit weird. Today I’m sharing five things I’ve learned about myself from blogging. I feel this post is going to leave me exposed (again) lol So bear with me (did you see what I did there?).
1. I love and enjoy supporting others
This is something that’s always been true about me. I think it’s the Pisces in me. I just want to help everyone.
2. I’m really unorganized
I’ve actually always had that issue, but blogging has been a real eye opener. I’m currently working on being more organized as being “disorganized” is starting to affect my blogging lifestyle.
3. I function better under pressure
There is something about a deadline that just gets all the juices flowing. Fear of not meeting said deadline maybe? Whatever it is, I like it. I know…weird. But I bet some of you can relate to this one.
4. I have shiny object syndrome
I actually wrote a blog post about that. You can check it out here if you haven’t already. I was pleasantly surprised and happy to learn that a lot of my blogger peers feels this way at one point or another.
5. I love blogging
When all is said and done. This is part of who I am. Lady Marielle! Mommy, a wax lover, and avid blogger. I may not make a 1 million doing what I do, but I love it.
There you have it. It’s actually wasn’t as scary as I thought it was going to be. Yay! For my fellow bloggers reading this, what are some things you’ve learned from blogging?
This post is actually part of a blog hop. Surprise! My first blog hop too if I’m correct. Someone posted on a Facebook blog group about it and HEY SHINY! So, of course, I said I would love to join. No idea what a blog hop is? From what I understand, you get a topic to write about then you link up to the other blogs that will also be talking about the same subject…I think. I’m still learning.
Below is a list of the bloggers that are joining us for the blog hop. I hope you will take a few minutes and check them out and learn what are the five things they’ve learned about themselves from blogging.

#3 is so me because I am one of those who leave everything for the last minute. A lot of my blog posts are actually written on the day that they are due and a lot of people may not know it. Yeah that’s me! I’ve been trying to do better but there’s just something about thinking you have all the time in the world when you really don’t. 🙂

I work well under pressure, too, which is good because it seems like it’s either feast or famine with blogging. I will either have 10 sponsored posts all due the same week or none LOL.
Sarah Bailey says
Haha I love this post – it really is amazing how much you can find out about yourself when your a blogger! x

I also work better under pressure. If I have too much time to think about it, I keep changing things in my posts before I publish.

I think we are all on a constant journey of self learning and self discovery.
This is one reason why we exist I think, or at least a reason to exist.

I seem to respond better when it is last minute! I don’t forget stuff that way it is weird! I have discovered a lot about myself too. I am not organized as I think I am either.
Amber NElson says
I do love blogging too. I think that you really have to love what you do.

I am pretty unorganized too. I don’t keep a calendar yet. I think one day if I get crazy busy, I’ll have to get more organized.
I don’t even have a desk. Well I do but I haven’t used it in forever because I can’t sit in a hard chair for long.
I love the friends that I have made over the last few years.

Numbers 2 and 3 are totally me! My organization skills are something I really need to work on.

This sounds like I could have written it. I never realized how unorganized and scatter brained I was until I started blogging as a job and not just a hobbie.

#2 Would be me. Even although I try to super hard to be organized, it never stays. I just keep trying.

Deadlines are good for me. I have to have them (whether they be self-imposed or not) to get anything accomplished.

I’ve been blogging for 3 years as well and I am still learning new things! Also, I work well under pressure. I always do a rough draft of my posts but only edit them the day they are going to be posted.

We’re both no. 2 and 3. I have tons of backlogs and unedited photos but I can finish a blogpost when I have a deadline haha.

I am so glad that the blogging journey has taught you so much about yourself. Having a baby taught me that I’m basically an unorganized person and really need to work on that.
