Hello my lovelies! Today’s post is about staying warm in the cold weather. For most parts, the leaves have fallen and its getting colder and colder each day. I for one, hate being cold. I don’t sleep well and my nose is always running when I’m cold. The last couple of days have been extremely cold. We even got our first snow this week.
My maternity leave started end of September and I plan on staying home for the next year or so. I’m a hermit and I don’t plan on leaving my house unless I absolutely need to. So for those of you that will be home during the winter, here’s a few things you can do to stay warm.
1. Dress warm.
I’m home petty much all day and have some very warm sweat pants and hoodies. For me, the most important thing is keeping my feet warm with some nice fuzzy socks.
2. Drink warm drinks throughout the day.
I usually have a morning coffee. Not only does it keep me warm, it also help keep me from falling asleep during mommy duties. I also like to enjoy a hot cup of tea to stay warm.
3. Get a portable heater.
Some of you might know that we moved into our first house back in May. It’s a huge difference from or old apartment. In the old place my computer desk was in our bedroom so I didn’t really have to go into any of the other rooms if I didn’t want to. During the day I only had to keep my bedroom heated. But this new house has so many rooms and heating is no joke. So having a portable heater is a great way to stay warm while in any room without having to blast the heater everywhere.
I received the Nikko Heater for review purposes. This heater has so many great features! One of those features is the “tip over switch.” Basically what it does is when the heater gets tipped over, it automatically turns off. How cool is that? If you have pets and little kids, you can understand how awesome this feature is. The Nikko is a 1500 Watt Ceramic heater. It has 3 different heat settings and a removable filter that makes it super easy to keep clean. You can get this awesome portal heater on Amazon
I love to hear from you! How are you staying warm in this cold weather?

We love our portable heaters. In fact they were lifesavers for our when construction nearby caused our gas to be turned off for 24 hours in the middle of the winter. Our heaters were our best friends!

This heater looks awesome. I am always hot and my hubs is always cold. This may work to warm up small areas at a time and not the whole house.
