I decided to call August’s monster the Slug Monster!!
If you are new here, please head on over to my Monster Chronicles page and meet the monsters!
August was a busy month for me and an expensive one too. It was back to school just a week ago! The Little man decided he was going to grow out of all his clothes. Which meant, getting new clothes and shoes. Lately it feels like I blinked and BOOM, he’s 6 years old!
In other news, my Scentsy business is picking up a lot more and THAT’s exciting! Looking forward to trying some of the fall and winter scentsy bars!
Here’s my report for August! Still have a way to go…
Net Worth Report for August 2014
I’m hoping by the end of the year I will have my credit card paid down to ZERO. I know I can do it!!
The Little Man (ever the sweetie) was nice enough to color my slug monster for me.
I’m slowly but surely getting back on track. Soon I will be completely rid of my monster!!
If you missed July’s post make sure you go back and check it out!
Thank you to everyone that is reading, sharing commenting and being supportive as I battle my monsters.
Follow me in my journey.

Credit card debt is one that I try to avoid completely.
My kids have big growth spurts too. It’s hard to keep clothes to fit them sometimes. It feels like I just buy a new wardrobe and have to turn around and do it again.

Both my kids go through growth spurts right at season changes. This makes for a lot of extra expenses in the clothing and shoe department! I don’t want them to grow up too fast, but boy I cannot wait until they stop growing in size so quickly, lol

Yes, back to school is a very expensive time. I also had to dip into the budget for new uniforms, new shoes, and school supplies.

I feel your pain. My daughter outgrew all of her jeans, then after I bought new ones, they were still too short. Ugh!

My son had a growth spurt too! Luckily for me though, his birthday is in less than 2 weeks, so i got just enough to get by at the moment. I’ll see what else I still need to get after his birthday since there’s no reason for me to go all crazy when i know he’ll get at least half of it.

Great job on your battle with your monster Slug and doing great in your business. You are inspiring many to do the same. Kids grow out of clothes so fast indeed. As they get older too the clothes cost more. Thanks for sharing.

I can relate to your determination to pay off credit card debt. With some proper planning, I paid off a few cards over the summer and decided to snip them in half soon afterwards. It was the most liberating experience I’d felt in a long time. Congrats to you and good luck with continuously building your multiple streams of income. 🙂
