The other day my sister asked me “What’s with you and owls?”
Which made me stop for a second and ponder on that question. “What’s with owls and me? When did I even start liking them so much?” To be honest, I don’t quite know WHEN or WHY I started to be obese with owls. I just simply love them.
Two of the reasons as to why I haven’t completed gone owl crazy are? Lack of space, and funds! But that doesn’t stop me from keeping an eye out for the smaller/less expensive items I can get my hands on!
In this post, I will share with you guys my love for everything owl related! Enjoy!
The first item:

| Forever 21 |
This is actually THE very first owl that I purchased almost a year ago at Forever 21. I just remember seeing it and saying to myself “I WANT!” And since it was under 10$ I went for it.
Next, we have a few figuring owls that I bought from various thrift stores, yard sales and church bazaar. Everything was under 5$ So my conscious is clear.

Now for some bling! Again Nothing over 5$ If my memory serves me right I paid 3$ for the brooch pin and 2$ for both necklaces (1$ each).

These babies were given to me by my lovely sister Marie. She loves joking about how “crazy” I am about something but turns around and buys it for me (see button post)

My favorite item from my owl collection has to be my Whoot warmer. I have that one on my nightstand and simply LOVE it! *bonus, it glows in the dark!!!*

My favorite pair of earrings! Got them from a fellow Facebook friend, that I met over the summer on my very FIRST church bazaar.

This is where I keep all my bling! (I love saying bling, don’t judge me!!). I bought this in the clearance section at Winners! *sigh* I love that place!

I used to collect many different things, but now that we mansion mind…I had to purge a lot of things. Nice seeing your collection though.
ahhh yes I try to purge things too around spring time (usually clothes and toys).
I love those owl things – especially that broach. Makes me think of my Mom. She loves Owls.

That’s a great collection! I just bought my daughter a set of owl measuring spoons (ceramic) from World Market. She’s into birds in general.

Your collection is great – I love the necklace. My son has a brown and white stuffed owl – he’s been snuggling with it nearly his entire life. He’s turn 5 in July and it’s still going strong – a little matted from being over washed, but still very cute!
In Spain, where I grew up, owls are thought to ward off evil and bad luck. My grandmother gave me a statue of one to put in our home when we purchased our home.

I had an aunt who was into owls in the 70’s/80’s. All I remember about her house was the 100’s of owl paintings/figures/etc. Good memories!
I used to collect owls,.. it got to a point where it looked like I was selling owls. I had to say, Enough is Enough. I don’t think I have an owl in the house now… though I do love them still.
I know exactly what you mean. I got rid of some of my owls too and have slowed down on buying any new ones (for now lol).

I have that same owl necklace I paid nothing for it using my amazon account and swagbucks gift cards for amazon. I collect dolphins but mine are in the storage unit. Posting and sharing what we collect is a great blog idea. Latley my collections are pictures.

I collect miniature cats and dogs–have quite a few of them but haven’t added to my collection in a long time. I just haven’t seen the perfect piece yet. I also used to collect plates -I have since stopped (animals and kids)-they are displayed on my dining room wall.

OMG, I LOVE owls too!!! I’ve never met anyone who loves them as much as me : ) I don’t have a huge collection due to funds and space, like you said, but I love them. I just think they are so beautiful and powerful.
